LUDLOW –The Senior Center cafeteria was transformed into a shiny glistening “fairytale-themed” winter wonderland on Friday, Dec. 30, as seniors ushered in 2012
Legends” entertainer Bill Davis serenaded the crowd of 200 while “fairies” danced through the crowd wishing a Happy New Year.
Attendees were treated to New Year hats and noisemakers. At noon, everyone gathered to sing the traditional “Auld Lang Syne” and made a toast to ring in the New Year. Dinner was served following the toast.
Davis, along with his son, Mike from Renegade Entertainment, serenaded the crowd with oldies made famous by The Temptations, Dean Martin and Elvis Presley.
“I am really impressed with the seniors. They know how to party,” said Mike Davis. “We would be honored to be invited back.” “We brought in Bill Davis for the first time,” said Nison. “The music is wonderful. He is a great entertainer.
“We’re having a wonderful time,” said Zamora. “It’s a really nice place. I feel very welcomed, it being my first time here.” “I am glad I decided to come today, I am having a wonderful time,” shared Rodak.
“I am glad I came, too,” added Motyl. “I’ve seen some old friends here that I haven’t seen in a long time. Everyone seems so friendly here. They make you feel very welcome. This is a great party.”
